Health Walk leaders wanted!

Could you motivate and inspire others to do more physical activity and in doing so promote the benefits of walking in your local countryside?

The Countryside Management Service (CMS) is looking for new Health Walk leaders to support its friendly team of volunteers leading walks in Hertsmere and across Hertfordshire. There are currently a variety of short walks taking place in Potters Bar, Bushey, Borehamwood and Radlett. First Steps walks last 20-30 minutes and are on flat and even ground, and other walks are graded from 1 to 4, lasting up to 90 minutes in duration.

All that CMS ask of volunteers is some ongoing commitment – be it once a month or twice a week – and a passion for walking and meeting new people!

CMS regularly offers a free one-day training course for new walk leaders, providing all the support and kit you will need to lead walks in your local community. For more information or to sign up for the next course email Healthwalks.cms@hertfordshire.gov.uk or call Sian Price on 01992 556033.
