Isolation Arts Café
What does a local Arts Team do when on furlough during a global pandemic? In St Albans, they voluntarily used their own time to start a facebook group to keep the local artistic community together! The Isolation Arts Café page on Facebook was launched on the 20th March 2020, just before the national lockdown began, as a way to share performances, poetry, art work and other creative contributions of all kinds from artists and local creative people in the St Albans area.
Since then, the group has gone from strength to strength and now has 1.9k followers, has hosted over 20 live gigs and has had literally thousands of creative contributions with no signs of slowing down. We’ve picked just a few examples of contributions made to the group, but there’s so many to choose from – visit their page to have a browse! Isolation Arts Cafe | Facebook.
